The Woodstock 1969 film festival was the beginning and the end of the music revolution. Started by two men w/ unlimited finacial capital it grew into the voice & the cry of the people. Originally 200,000 people were supposed to show up but a half a million came instead.
Great legends such as the who, Janis joplin and Jimmy Hendrix Santana, Joe Cocker, Credence Clearwater Revival, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young & Jefferson Airplane Played during woodstock.
It coined the begining of the flower power era & also bought rock music to the eye of the corperate music industy.
After 1969 woodstock the music world was destroyed by money and fame, And talentless, backstabbing businessmen found a place that was never meant for them in the music world.
It became about what made the money not if it was good.
Still Woodstock is the significant sign in rock'n'roll history it is the symbolism of the always imminient but now dormant heart of rock 'n' roll.
Rock isn't Dead it still alive. It's heartbeat is alive in the youth who cherish it and will bring it back from it's dormancy.
