Biography
Willam Lite is a singer/songwriter from Norway. He usually performs alone, and when I write this, he has not been co-operating with anyone on a song.
At the moment, he is not sure if Willam Lite is going to be a permanent artist/band name, and he's writing down band name suggestions, so he can do something like Nine Inch Nails, and let people join the band for one song if they want to, and be kicked out on the next.
The name Willam Lite comes from his favorite band, HIM, where the vocalist's name is Ville Valo. If you translate that to English, that makes William Light, but after what I've heard, he found out the name was already taken by searching for it on Wikipedia, and therefore changed it a bit, and made it into Willam Lite, as a tribute to Ville Valo.
He himself says his influences is every song he have ever heard and ever will hear, and sounds around him, but the main band/artist influences are (after what he has wrote on MySpace):
"We (or I) have influences from everything I ever hear. That is from Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Iggy Pop to Cradle of Filth, CKY, HIM, Bloodhound Gang, Turbonegro and some from Neil Young, Joshua Radin, Cary Brothers and so on."
