1.
Whitebread is a post-rock band that formed in late 2011, after students Alec Cheung, Lenz Ong, Kevin Ma, and Zach Hing had attended a Mogwai concert and decided to form a band. Whitebread has been active ever since, and even though the band has only been alive for a few months, it has managed to gain popularity. Mainly influenced by post-rock and shoegaze bands such as Mogwai, El Ten Eleven, Wang Wen, and My Bloody Valentine, Whitebread definitely also incorporates elements from other genres such as progressive rock, avant-garde, and heavy metal. The current line-up of Whitebread consists of guitarist Alec Cheung, bassists Ravi Rao and Levin Zhu, guitarist Zach Hing, sampler Kevin Ma, and drummer Lenz Ong. After an inspirational jam session, Whitebread has currently written and released their debut original live single, Dead People Laughing, and has 2 more songs in the making.
