Biography
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Washing Machine is a post-punk and power pop project started by Noel Macdonald (Tomcat Combat, Long Weekends, Moon). Macdonald recruited Dylan Chew, Tom Burke and Cody Googoo in 2017 to flesh out the band, and they released their debut record "Walk It Back" in March 2018.
In 2019, Glen Leck and Justin Crowe joined on bass and drums, and in 2020 the new lineup produced two self-recorded singles "Half A Battle" and "Isle Of Isosceles". In 2021 they started working hard on an ambitious project in Glen and Noel's home studios; the self-recorded follow up album, "Cheat The Pattern". The band started weekly releasing the whole record track by track before its full release in August 2022.
