Biography
Jose Marie Borja Viceral (born March 31, 1976),
who uses the stage name Vice Ganda , is a Filipino
television presenter, endorser, actor, and recording
artist. Viceral is a regular host/judge on ABS-CBN ’s
noontime variety show It's Showtime , and has
starred in several films, two of which are
considered the highest-grossing films in Philippine
cinema.
On June 15, 2011, Vice released his first studio
album, Lakas Tama under Vicor Records. It features
mostly pop and novelty songs, including "Palong
Palo", written by Callalily frontman Kean Cipriano. He is also included in the compilation album of Showtime, released by Star Records. On April 30, 2013, Vice Ganda released his 2nd album, self-titled, and debut album under Star Records .
2013 is when he moved to Star Records. The first single off Vice Ganda's debut album with the said label has been released thru digital download. The song, which features rapper Smugglaz, is characterized by loud techno beats and is notably more electronic-oriented compared to Vice Ganda's earlier records. The EP "KaraKaraka" is the comedian-host's first project since he moved to the said label.
