Easily one of the best thrash albums of the 2010s. Not sure anything else comes close.

His voice is going to crack in a few years though.. but very good album! I feel good about these guys!

As phenomenal as these riffs and lyrics are, I feel like this would've hit WAY stronger in D or C tuning, rather than UP-tuning to F. I won't notch any points against the album for that, though, since it's just a personal preference. Makes it sound a lot more treble-y, which might be the point.

HARD disagree. Their tuning makes their riffs extra shimmery spacey to me. It's one of my favorite aspects of the band

I consider the album perfect these days, for what it's worth...F tuning surprisingly does work for them! I was deep into a love of vildhjarta around this time in my life so I thought F tuning meant it'd be in the other direction at the time lol

I'll never truly enjoy this band's vocals, but context with the sci-fi narrative made them a lot less annoying. Now I can finally digest the epic tapestry that is this album's instrumentals without distraction, the song structures are already insanely impressive!

I didn't 'get' this album at first. Or any of the Vektor releases really. But oh boy, I get it now

Ehh, this album doesn't hold back on aggression, speed or thrash-ness in general. Just because there are "different" moments on it, doesn't mean that the rip-your-face-off moments aren't still there. Even though I think the verse riff to Black Future is one of the greatest things in thrash, ever, I don't want them to write that ten times slightly differently. Even on this album, where they're clearly trying new things and going forward, I notice certain Vektor clichés and I wouldn't wish that the whole band would become a parody of itself. So, massive respect to these guys, David in particular, for being able to craft an artistic and fresh thrash metal release. Vektor has always had that artistic aspect, but with this they really crafted a cohesive story both sonically and lyrically that really resonates, which is a rare treat for me personally.

Im a bit on the fence over this one. This is just my second spin, so time will tell how well this holds up against Black Future and Outer Isolation, so beware and read my comment with a bit of caution. I might go on a limp here, but this is some kind of transition phase for Vektor, like the Killing Technology / Dimension Hatröss - Nothingface era was for Voivod. All amazing albums, for sure, but I have to admit I miss a little bit the aggressiveness from the previous records (For Voivod as well as Vektor). The songwriting definitely matured, the new elements work really well (clean vocals, opera singers), there's also a lot more melody involved, more diversity. Kinda like with Warbringers new albums. But it's the same with them, I miss the raw aggression, the Thrash. Still, this is as sophisticated, unique and jaw-dropping in terms of songwriting as it can get in terms of Prog/Thrash crossover. Vektor didn't disappoint, I'm excited where their musical journey will go in future
