Biography
Solo Project of Jimmy Polioudis, from Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Vagina Lips project started in July 2015 in Thessaloniki as a duet with Zimmy Lips (Jimmy Polioudis) on guitar and vocals and Lostinthe (Konstantinos Iosifidis) drums, vocals.
An eponymous cassette (now collectible) was released on Random Tapes the same year.
In March 2016 comes a digital release with MO.MI records - "Youth In Chaos", a mini album with 5 songs.
Along with the release of Youth In Chaos, the solo appearance of Zimmy Lips on a popular TV show took place, helping to expand the projects' audience.
In May 2016, Lostinthe departs and Zimmy decides to continue as a solo project. In August 2016, he recorded the album "Athanasia" which was voted on many music sites among the best albums of 2016. Konstantinos helped and still is the permanent producer of the project.
Various self-released works followed: Decadent Life (EP 2016), Elixir (album, 2017), Vernorexia (mini album, 2017), No Career (mini cover album, 2017), Lust For Trash (album, 2017), The Best Days Of Our Lives (2017).
In February 2018, Inner Ear released the album "Athanasia" for the first time in a limited edition vinyl, marking a collaboration till today. Next come the album "Generation Y" (November 2018).
On 2020 besides the scheduled release of the album "Outsider Forever" on January, a second self-released album came to live, named "Quarantine Days" during the Covid-19 quarantine days in Greece.
Zimmy as Vagina Lips performed lived quite a few times. Most important for him are his participation in ΨΧ2016, Plissken of 2016, Westside Festival 2, Saristra 2017.
