“LEMONHEAD” is the third track off Tyler, the Creator’s seventh studio album Call Me If You Get Lost. The track features Tyler, 42 Dugg, and Frank Ocean showing their bravado by flaunting one another’s opulence and expensive possessions. Details about a collaboration between 42 and Tyler first surfaced through an April 2021 Interview that 42 Dugg gave with Complex.
In his interview with Complex, 42 revealed that the two got in the studio together after Tyler said this about Dugg’s May 2020 track “We Paid” with Lil Baby in September 2020:
“we paid is like, the core of rap music, that shit is, i cant even articulate it“
According to Dugg, it was initially unclear if “LEMONHEAD” would appear on Tyler’s album or his latest record Free Dem Boyz, but it ended up going to Tyler.
