Biography
TwistedString is a young, confused man who yelps at passing boats and waves at walls.
Oftentimes when out walking, in a fit of extreme agreeable-ness, he will salute the large and the minute; trees, cigarette butts, windows, dogs, coffee stains, the weather and so on.
At the age of five he thrust a nearby screwdriver into a carelessly uncovered electricity outlet; the resulting shock from whence propelled him forcefully backwards, careening arse-long into the bannister of the household stairs.
Seven years later, while investigating the orange glow of a toaster element with a Stainless Steel© knife, he tripped the household's switch, causing the rest of the family to miss four and one-half minutes of the popular Saturday evening variety show "Gladiators". The minor event caused much consternation.
Once, when a cousin-turned-babysitter cooked scrambled eggs for him as a child, he licked the plate clean, relishing the taste of residual salt mixed with the trace water.
He has only stolen a handful of times, and always very small items; most recently two 1mm plectrums in February, two thousand and ten.
In two thousand and nine he bought a Fostex four track in a charity shop for five euros. He could not persuade it to operate correctly, but persisted, none the less.
In time, he discovered that though the device could not record sound, it could actually emit notes, the pitch and oscillation of which could be (approximately) controlled by adjusting almost any of the many knobs, dials, switches and doodads to be found upon the four track's interface.
This made him glad.
