Biography

Trent Eddy was born and raised in Ararat, VA, up until seven years of age. At seven, he and his family moved to Mount Airy, NC, due to more job opportunities for his parents. He began writing poetry in the fifth grade (was 11 at this point), which eventually evolved into writing lyrics by the eighth (was 13). Trent started recording in the ninth grade, using a Rock Band microphone and Audacity, only to get enough attention throughout his highschool. At the time, he was influenced by artists such as Lil Wayne, Drake, Tyga, etc. At the beginning of his sophomore year, he released his “No Stop Signs” mixtape, but wasn’t able to give it as much promotion as he had hoped for. From then up until now, his influences have been Black Hippy, Pro Era, and OFWGKTA. Longing for people to take him seriously as an artist, he began saving his money so he could upgrade his recording equipment in order to get a more professional sound, and did so within a short period of time. On January 30, 2013, Trent released the “Bread & Water EP” via HotNewHipHop and has garnered a significant amount of attention not only throughout Mount Airy, but also those from different states, even a few from several countries. Trent is only 16 and is already achieving much success due to the effort he puts forth into his work.
