NAUJOUR is Toosii’s debut full-length studio album following his November 2022 EP, Boys Don’t Cry. The self-titled album portrays Toosii’s close relationship with the creation of the album. Being in the works for years, Toosii noted that on the album, he’s “perfecting craft and just trying to be the best version of .” The album had begun to be teased in early 2022 following the release of “Keeper.” After posting several TikTok snippets which had gone viral, Toosii released the album’s lead single, “Love Is…” in July 2022 after the major online success and critical acclimation it received. After releasing a ray of singles that had been highly anticipated through TikTok — most of which appeared on his EP Boys Don’t Cry, alongside “Love Is…” — in February 2023, Toosii released his hit single, “Favorite Song” as a Valentines Day special. The song was Toosii’s best-performing song during its release, peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking his first entry on the chart. The track gained several remixes from Khalid and Future. On May 5, 2023, Toosii officially announced the project as he noted he’d cover his come-up through the tracks. On May 15, 2023, Toosii unveiled the album’s official tracklist, revealing features from critically acclaimed artists such as 21 Savage and Future alongside an interlude with Wallo 267.
