Biography

Tom 'Toe Jam' Burris is a Music Producer and Creative Professional specialising in Artist Management, Tour Production and Corporate Video. Tom took to turntablism and became fascinated with recording and sampling techniques used by idols DJ Premier and Dr Dre. Tom became a self-taught bedroom Producer under the alias Toe Jam. Studying at The Academy of Contemporary Music spawned collaborations with a Trip-hop project Dark Solutions. Broadening his musical horizon, Tom teamed up with soul singer/songwriter Wesley Lucas, Producing tracks ‘Do Somthin’ and ‘Redemption’. ​

In his final year of studying, Tom worked with rapper Opus One from the Hip-hop group Arkane. Tom dealt with PR and plugged a feature of ‘Drop the Truth’ on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s Ras Kwame show. Shortly after the track was compiled for promotional CD for the Boxfresh Clothing and cult film Kidulthood in 2006, in which Opus appears. ​After graduating Tom recorded sessions with rock band, The Felony. Subsequently he became their manager and orchestrating promotional campaigns, marketing, social media and organising tours.

​Tom has since worked recording and developing artists with Shameless Talent Management.
