In 2003, Tina Arena recorded an album of new material at Falcon Valley Studios in Italy with producer Paul Gordon Manners. Her label at the time Sony Australia didn't think the songs would sell enough records and so her contract was terminated and only a few of the songs recorded have since seen the light of day (Italian Love Song and Take Me Apart on Greatest Hits 1994-2004, Love Hangover on Songs of Love & Loss, Close to You and Living a Lifetime Together on Songs of Love & Loss 2 and This Universe on The Best & le meilleur). In May 2009, an EP of the remaining songs was released exclusively through her website as The Peel Me Sessions 2003.
