Biography
Tim Woos is a versatile composer and performer, writing for acoustic instruments and ensembles, as well as for amplified instruments and electronics. He composes concert music, dance music, and music for multimedia. Woos has had his works performed by violinist Soovin Kim, bassoonists, Billy Short and Rachael Elliott, pianist Christopher O'Riley, Emsemble39, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Vermont Contemporary Music Ensemble, and the Vermont Youth Orchestra. Tim has just finished his second year as a composition student at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Woos is studying with Richard Danielpour, Jennifer Higdon, and David Ludwig.
