This collection of tunes is comprised of various genre experiments:

"Theme from Lawrence of Arabia" - A Surf Music version, this arrangement attempts to capture the grandeur and exotica of the original Maurice Jarre theme. This arrangement originally appeared on Teisco Del Rey's second CD "Teisco Del Rey Plays Music For Lovers" (Upstart Records, 1996).

"She Hangs On The Western Wall" - This is a bit of electronica with electric guitar, the title taken from a chapter in Thomas Pynchon's first novel, V. (1963). Tim is a serious Pynchon aficionado; he built and maintains both http://ThomasPynchon.com and http://PynchonWiki.com.

"Teisco Del Rey" - A composition in the surf style written at the behest of Teisco Del Rey, and included on his first CD "The Many Moods of Teisco Del Rey" (Rounder, 1992) under the title "Los Surf." This is Tim's version, recorded in his home studio.

"The Lonely Bull (El Solo Toro) - A mass of electric guitars renders this composition by Sol Lake, made famous by Herb Alpert.

"Cafe Apocalypso" - An attempt at a "desert painting" - in vivid reds and yellows, with highlights of acid green. Also Tim's only recorded vocal performance.
