Biography
Tiger and the Snow is a yearling project that began as collaboration between founding members Todd Milton and Portland native Angie Sabin. With Milton's shoegaze Stratocaster lead and Sabin's breathy vocals, Fender Rhodes and occasional guitar, they created a unique sound. The powerful addition of Wes Garcia on bass or baritone and Kyle Kelly-Yahner (aka Young Buck for his 10 years age difference) on drums rounds out the rhythm section. Garcia also plays with the band Len Bias and occasionally with Carol Bui.
The group has been compared to bands the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, Cat Power and Built to Spill.
