One of my favorite songs ever. It really makes me feel nostalgic and makes me miss the ocean. Love Townshend's chords and the Ox's subtle and melodic bassline.

Love, reing o'er me is very emotional, and powerful, but I do not have these problems that I cannot listen to some music because of its emotional impact on me (Back in 2019 I was like going through terrible depression, and panic attacks, and at that time I would just cry so much while listening to anything really, back then it was Mariah Carey, her first album, I was waiting at the airport in Inverness Scotland, and I was so fucking depressed, and I just started crying as I was listening to that album, I thought like my heart was about to explode, but yea that summer of 2019 was a bitch, I thought I was gonna die.... Nowadays I am on a new medication, so like I said I can listen to pretty much anything. Not to say the medication takes away my emotions, but it keeps me more balanced I guess, music is still my greatest passion.

Sorry to hear that man, glad to know that you're doing better. Back when I was 17 (which like I said, is when Quad became my favorite album), during the summer of 2010, I was really struggling with my mental health, and Quadrophenia really helped me through that summer. I don't know how I would have survived that summer without bands like The Who and Led Zeppelin to help me through. I honestly thought I was going to die that summer. Thankfully, I'm still here and Quadrophenia is still my favorite album and The Who are my favorite band (along with Zeppelin that is.) The 70s were the all-time greatest decade for rock music, IMO.

Yeah, I've been struggling with mental health problems from the age of 18, but the worst year or time was probably summer of 2019, but even all the previous years, my mental health was getting progressively worse from 2010 till 2019 or I guess till now, still last year I had a terrible psychotic episode, but I think summer of 2019 was the worst because that time I really thought I was gonna fucking die. Yea for sure I Agree 100%, even if my recent music doesn't reflect that, 70s is and always has been my favorite era in music, Led Zeppelin was reason I started playing the guitar around 2005, and yea I just love all the prog rock and hard rock of the 70s, Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Camel, Caravan, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Rush.. many great bands, I got more into like metal stuff in my mid 20s actually, Opeth got me more into the black / death metal territory, and I have to say that some black metal stuff really helps me from depression, like Emperor or Dissection.

Yeah prog-rock is probably my favorite sub-genre, and it was at its absolute peak in 70s. I'm not usually into black or death metal, but I absolutely love old Opeth, especially Still Life and Blackwater Park. I love the dark, moody atmosphere of a lot of their music. I also enjoy other prog-death occasionally, especially if they have jazz influences, like Atheist and Cynic.

Oh ok, yeah.. I usually think old Opeth being their first 3 albums (Orchid, Morningrise, and My Arms, Your Hearse) And Still Life and Blackwater Park is when they sounded more like the formulaic progressive death metal, but the first 3 albums I like more, because they experimented more, and it has better harsh vocals (For me personally I like Mikael's high pitched screams, and later on, like since Blackwater Park and Still Life he mostly only did the low growls, and it's alright, but I kinda prefer when he still had those black metals creams on the first 3 albums. But actually at first the album Watershed got me into the band, because I was not used to the death growls, and that album had only 3 songs with the death growls. Yeah I really like Atheist, they were one of the first to kind of kick off the progressive death metal, along with Death (the members from Cynic were on their album ''Human'') but yea Cynic I only like their first EPs and the debut album ''Focus''.

but as far as progressive death metal, I really recommend checking out the album ''Crimson'' from Edge of Sanity - Mikael from Opeth was a guest vocalist, and also provided some guitar work on the album, also I would recommend (if you don't already know) The Sound of Perseverance from Death, that is their most prog metal album definitely, it was their last, and the most experimental and proggy for sure, and the screams are not as brutal as their early work, so I think you might enjoy it.

I consider 'old Opeth' to be anything prior to Heritage. I like their first three albums (Morningrise probably being my favorite of those albums), but my favorites are Still Life and Blackwater Park. Thanks for the recommendations man, I'll check them out.

My mom got drunk on stout, my dad couldn't stand on two feet, as he lectured about morality. Just awesome.
