The Speakers recorded En El Maravilloso Mundo de Ingesón in Bogotá-Colombia, and named de album after the studio where the production was put to tape.

By the end of the sixties after a "Yeah Yeah" / "Go Go" period and a departure from singing covers and songs in English, the band evolved towards a more authentic sound and later on was also devoloping a great interest in Psychedelia (the influence of bands like Iron Butterfly, and albums such as "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" from The Beatles and "Their Satanic Majesties Request" from The Rolling Stones was clear) En El Maravilloso Mundo de Ingesón. is a myth in itself partially because the album gatefold cover included an attached LSD placebo, or a "free psychedelic" which authorities never noticed. No real drug was used, it was merely a stunt.

Way innovative for a south american band in the 60's, The Speakers are mainly remembered only by the people who lived their era as contemporaries, but a recent interest has developed just like it has recently happened with Brazil's premier psychedelic band Os Mutantes.
