Biography
The Rivers of Sound is a creative 4 piece indie rock band from Deep South in the United Kingdom. The band was formed by the visionary guitar hero Paul and bearded rhythm king Craig in April 2004, and the line up was completed by the groove factory Matt in August 2005 and the young, gifted and lanky Lewis in January 2006.
The band has been gigging across the south coast since April 2006 and in that time they have graced such venues as The Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, The Joiner's in Southampton and the Railway Inn in Winchester. The sound of the band has been likened to such legendary acts as the Stone Roses, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Cast and Kasabian but in reality the band draws from a wide range of influences and every song has its own unique sound and feel.
Their debut EP, released in May 2007, is a quality collection of their best tunes and has seen the band faithfully reproduce the sound of their outstanding live shows, and is guaranteed to get you dancing.
