The Ovum is No-Fi-Ambient Noise and mostly pointless. The project was originally created to soundtrack a short film which was never finished. Armed with a couple of second hand keyboards (a Yamaha Portasound PSS-50 and a Casio SA-8), a cheap laptop and no musical talent, The Ovum's music is an off-the-cuff patchwork of audio mistakes and ambient accidents. In 2007 there was brief period where The Ovum became a trio with electro-noise-drag-punk intentions, but due to a lack of motivation and effort nothing was produced, so that idea fizzled out pretty quickly and it became a solo project again.
