The N'awlins Gumbo Kings come from New Orleans, Louisiana. All members have connections of some kind that go back to the Big Easy: Steve Howard, trumpet (Paul McCartney, Dr. John, Ray Charles), Bobby Breaux, drums (Al Hirt, Woody Herman, Ellis Marsalis), Brian Piper, piano/vocals (Jerry Jeff Walker, Rosemary Clooney, Cab Calloway, Vocal Majority), Mike Sizer, clarinet (Dukes of Dixieland), Carl Hillman, bass (Donald Byrd, David Liebman, Ronald Shannon Jackson, Bernadette Peters, The Ink Spots, Robert Goulet), and Tony Baker, trombone (Wynton Marsalis, Doc Severinsen, Arturo Sandoval, Steve Turre, John Fedchock, Pete Christlieb).
