"GIRLS" is the sixth track on the deluxe edition of The Kid LAROI's studio album, THE FIRST TIME. The song was officially released as a single on June 28, 2024, and the deluxe edition to the album later released on August 9, 2024.
The deluxe also included four brand new songs and three other previously released singles “HEAVEN,” “THOUSAND MILES,” and “HATRED.”
Before its official release, "GIRLS" leaked online and quickly gained traction across platforms, especially TikTok, where snippets of the chorus were used in thousands of videos. The viral demand for the track led to massive fan anticipation. LAROI leaned into the hype by teasing it heavily on social media and even performing it live on tour for several months prior to the release date.
Musically, the song blends LAROI’s signature melodic trap sound with emotional yet brash lyrics that explore the highs and lows of fleeting relationships. Its catchy, anthemic hook and confessional energy helped cement it as a standout fan favorite from the deluxe edition.
