2. A rock and folk band (Connecticut)
1. Singer songwriter, keyboardist and B3 Hammond organist, Jimmy Voegeli, teams with drummer Mauro Magellan of The Georgia Satellites and an array of talented musicians to deliver authentic blues, soul and R&B from Wisconsin. The band also features a three-piece horn section dubbed "The Amateur Horn Stars", all of whom played for years played with Clyde Stubblefield, James Brown's Original Funky Drummer and long-time resident of Madison, Wisconsin.
Special guests appearances by Dan Baird of The Georgia Satellites, Bun E. 2. The Jimmys formed in 2013 and are active to the present, with three studio albums and one on the way. Their most popular songs so far are "Girl in the Cafeteria" and "Fishing Town." The members include Michael Roche, John McGovern and Jimmy Portanova.
