Post Script is a nine-track album released on October 2, 2026, and credited to The Fall. It uses previously unreleased vocal recordings by frontman Mark E. Smith made between 2001 and 2014, with new musical backing assembled by former Fall associates Ed Blaney and Simon “Ding” Archer. The track list includes “30 Degrees,” “So Long,” “Final Position,” and “The Book.”
The Quietus
The album’s status as “The Fall’s final studio album” is disputed. Smith’s partner, Pamela Vander, objected to that framing, while Blaney and Archer have described the release as a tribute built from recordings made for the band. So it’s best understood as a posthumous reconstruction from archival vocals—not an album recorded by the band together as a group.
