Biography
The band was born in early 2006 with the proposal to make a basic rock and roll. With no pretension of big inovations, with personality and the presence of energic guitar riffs, the group soon would take their place at Goiânia’s scene.
In june 2006 it’s release the first demo with the songs “Stronger than ever” and “Plastic words”. A few months later, it would begin the recording of the envy hearts’ first full lenght, which probably will be released in the first semester of 2008.
“The Envy Hearts was everything that I was told about: A band who rocks on the stage and know what is doing. Well done hard rock.” Guga Valente (e-mitocondria.com.br, about the gig at Bananada 2007)
“Since the beginning, in their first gigs, the group shocked Goiânia’s rock scene by the quality of their sound and by the professionalism showed by its members. Goiânia is, notoriously, a very prominent city when we talk about rock. But the fact of a band born ready still surprises. That’s the case of The Envy Hearts.” Carlos Brandão (journalist, director of Centro Municipal de Cultura Goiânia Ouro)
“I always liked their sound a lot, but I was never willing to see their shows, because in the stage their presence was very poor, without the crowd’s interaction (I think this is important). But they got better, talking less, and playing better and better (as always) and when they do talk they do not scare the crowd. “End Of The Road” is a fuckin’ great song, and when I heard it, I confirmed everything that I had announced before: The band is too good.” Eduardo Mesquita (ogritodoinimigo.blogspot.com, about the Decibélica Magazine’s anniversary concert)
