Biography
The Manji is an art rock act from Japan, formed in 2007. Their music compiles a variety of genres, such as prog/psych rock, folk, chanson, jazz, hard rock and theater. The line-up features guitarist/vocalist Rolly (すかんち), bassist Kenji Sato (Black Tiger, Electric Nomad, Cotu Cotu, Foe, Marchosias Vamp, Ufos) and drummer Kazuhisa "Roger" Takahashi (Black Tiger, Pugs, Resistance, The Sons, Velvet Spider, X-Ray). In the same year they formed, the band appeared on the compilation album "Jingle All The Way!", with the song "Jingle Bell". The band has released their first full-length studio album, entitled "卍" (Manji), in April 2008. "Puzzle", their second album, was released in May 2009.
