"Amor a la Mexicana" (Love, Mexican-Style) is the title of a song written by Mario Puparro, produced by Emilio Estefan Jr. and recorded by Thalía. It was the first single from her fifth studio album of the same title. Cuca's Fiesta Mix was released in Europe as a single. The song charted on the Belgian Singles Chart (Wallonia) at number 9, French Singles Chart at number 11 and the U.S. Billboard Hot Latin Songs at number 6.
Three videos were made for the song. For the original version and for 2 remixes. The first music video was directed by Benny Corral and released in July 1997. It is mostly shot in a Mexican casa where Thalia walks around, sleeps in various places (a hammock, a large bed and a chair) and interacts with various typically Mexican props (such as a sombrero and several cacti). A number of shirtless men also feature prominently. The remixes videos were released in 1998 and feature Thalia as the sales clerk at a truck stop in the Mexican desert. Thalia alternates between flirting with the various men who drop by, and performing a choreographed routine with several other dancers.
