Biography
Testcard are an electropop trio based in Liverpool. Formed from members of audiovisual art promoters The Hive Collective and Probe Records recording artists Marlowe, they have become stalwarts of a thriving DIY art scene.
Their debut album ‘Lines’ is released in June 2008.
‘Lines’ melds power pop, future disco and pristine Italo to soundtrack poignant tales of modern urban life. Each pulsing track coolly observes the contradictions of contemporary relationships, the machine inside the heart; the heart inside the machine. Soaring, soulful vocals and a love of pure pop help Testcard swerve the electropop stereotype though; empathy and optimism shine through these pop gems
