Biography

Teach-In was a middle of the road pop band from Enschede, The Netherlands, best known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975 with their song 'Ding-a-Dong'. The English version of this song made it to #13 in the British charts.

Teach-In was established in 1967 and called it a day in 1980, but the 'Ding-a-Dong line-up' was active mainly between 1972 and 1976, their glory years. They had considerable chart success in their native Netherlands during these years with two singles (including 'Ding-a-Dong') hitting #3 and two others hitting #5 in the Dutch Top 40.

The success line-up of the 1970s comprised Getty Kaspers, Chris de Wolde, Ard Weenink, Koos Versteeg, John Gaasbeek and Ruud Nijhuis.
