Biography
TAPE RELAY is a radio show in Sydney, Australia, currently broadcasting on 2SER 107.3fm on Tuesdays 7.30 to 9pm.
It is hosted by Leigh Tran, who has been involved in community radio since 1999. She used to host Osmosis, the Australian music program on 2SER, as well as Roundabout and Sunny Side Up on FBi 94.5fm, and knows, to some extent, how to twiddle the knobs and even cue up the old 45s.
Playing an eclectic mix of indie music, the show is occasionally esoteric, partially experimental but hopefully mostly just entertaining and even sometimes educational too.
On Tape Relay, she's also joined by regulars who know much more about music than Leigh ever will.
+ Alistair Fitchett, preeminent indiepop guru, author, founder of Tangents webzine
+ John Encarnacao, music professor, musician and Crooked Tunes connoisseur
+ Lee Gillespie, well-traversed musician and our Texas-music specialist
The program is streamed live at www.2ser.com and other segments and interviews can be listened back at mediafire.com/taperelay, as well as osmosis.podomatic.com
