Biography

Takeda! are an ambient, slow-core, folky-pop band from Norfolk, England. They have been playing together since childhood, and like catchy melodies and sad lyrics. Much of their music relies on atmosphere & ambience. Song's like Lullabies & Long Goodbyes ( from their 'Glass' EP) and Reverentia both depend on a repeated guitar part over some strange dreamy sounds. Whereas songs like Glass & Beneath the Tree, whilst still incorporating ambient influences, draw mainly on Takeda!'s ability to write catchy folky pop songs.

Takeda! are a purely Organic band, and try their very best to use only acoustic instruments and sounds in their music. This has led to much experimentation and extended technique; one song features a pane of glass being sawed at manically with a violin bow. Another song subsumes a slow rising and falling glissando from what sounds like an otherworldly orchestra of Cellos.

They play at various places in and around Norfolk, and are currently working on building up their own studio to record the album's worth of material they have yet to document.
