TOMMY NOVA BIOGRAPHY
A supernova is defined as a rare celestial phenomenon involving a star that explodes and becomes extremely luminous in the process. This statement couldn’t be truer for Tommy Nova, a rising superstar MC, songwriter, and producer signed to Blue Rocks Music.
Tommy Nova, born Thomas Peterson Jr., is a 23 year-old native of the Birthplace of Hip Hop, Bronx, NY, where strong musical influences surrounding his everyday life, shaped him to pursue a career as an artist. Upon graduating from Truman High School, Nova made the decision to leave the “harsh realities” of home and retreat to the “new music Mecca” of Atlanta to make his dream obtainable.
By escaping what can be described as, “an oversaturated market of rappers in NYC,” Tommy Nova was able to link with Atlanta-based producer Blue Rocks, who has a list of production credits including Nas, Andre 3000, Jagged Edge and Big Pun to name a few. Nova eventually signed to Blue’s imprint, Blue Rocks Music, and hasn’t looked back ever since. As a signee to Blue Rocks Music, Tommy Nova now feels he possesses “the tools to be a great artist!” As he hones in on his writing and producing skills, Nova cites Raekwon The Chef, Daddy-O of Stetsasonic and Blue Rocks as a source of inspiration and mentorship respectively. .
While continuously developing himself as an artist, Tommy Nova has been tirelessly working on a new mixtape titled, Chosen One Part II, and his full-length debut album tentatively titled, Memorex Moments. As he prepares for a lengthy career, Nova dreams of touring, winning Grammys, providing for his family and ultimately making the Bronx proud by “being recognized as one the greatest rappers” of his time.
