Independent recording artist Susan Crowe has been around the music scene in Canada for many years. She delivers her songs, all written by herself, with a lovely husky female tenor voice that soothes the savage beast. An accomplished songwriter, her words can touch a place deep inside you, while still having you humming along to the oh so musical and lovely tunes. After her first success when she won a Juno for best Roots album, she had been approached by major label to record with them. She refused because she wanted to continue making music on her own terms rather than risk compromising for the sake of the record label. Had she accepted an offer, she might be better known, but she is instead not as well-recognized in the music world.
Any album by Susan Crowe is a good investment. If you have not heard her yet, find her music and give it a listen. She is one of Canada's unsung heroes in the independent recording scene. And that voice!!!!
