Kenny Ferron and Brian Amaral hail from South Florida, a place as multi-cultured as their music. Raised in the heart of Miami, Kenny grew up producing Hip-Hop instrumentals for talented Miami rappers along with his own unique style of big urban beats layered with slick sampling. As his talent grew his focus was captured by the electronic music that was evolving around him. Kenny began producing
as Ferronhyte, establishing a style that was a fired-up fusion of Electro Breaks and Dubstep. It was then that he was joined by his long-time friend, the Maestro.
Brian cultivated his love of music through the electronic music scenes of South and Central Florida where he thrived as a multi-genre DJ. Captivated by the mystic sounds of world dub and the funky grooves of west coast crunk, he became a pioneer in bringing the glitch-hop and psy-dub sound to South Florida. As a DJ, Brian held residencies in premiere venues in Miami and performed at music festivals and clubs throughout the southeast and Nevada, eventually diving into learning the tools and techniques of production where his skills in arrangement and sound design shined. When Kenny and Brian joined forces they became SubSqwad and conjured a unique style of World, Dub, & Hip-Hop inspired midtempo bass music that has quickly earned a following.
