Strand…Rand invites you into the world of folk chorales, songs and tunes from the Estonian-Swedish islands and coastal areas in the west of Estonia.
They have peered into the past and would like to share with you the unexpectedly beautiful, joyful, but also harrowing stories in song that they have found here and given new life to. They are at one and the same time secular as well as sacred, holy as well as human, as befits a powerful music tradition, they succeed in merging our everyday life with the eternal again and again.
