Biography

Stormey Coleman was born into the hard streets of Southside Chicago, Illinois to Zella M. Brown & Harold M. Coleman. Despite growing up in a loving and supportive family, rich in values Stormey encountered street life at a young age. He was routinely confronted with drug abuse, murder, and an unjust system that was crippling his community. Facing these challenges Stormeys family decided to move the family to Atlanta Georgia, home and birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. Atlanta, known as the gateway to the south, a region deeply rooted in racial tension, prejudice and inequality presented new challenges. Despite the aforementioned obstacles Atlanta presented a culture, sense of community & strong spiritual presence unlike anywhere else.

After losing childhood friend Brandon Williams to senseless gun violence after a school basketball game Stormey learned the power of words, and the difference he could make. Stormey took a stance against the education system by boycotting class to speak to his peers in effort to minimise violence which resulted in 83% decrease in black on black youth crime.

His teacher and mentor Dr. Edward Johnson saw promise in the young Stormey Coleman and nurtured his leadership and orating abilities. Recognising Stormeys ability to identify with the issues facing young adults he tasked him with his first international experience. Stormey formed part of a youth organisation named B.T.A (Black Teens for Advancement International), where he would travel to Europe to speak troubled teens. The experience further cemented in Stormey's mind that interacting with and helping people would be his lifes goal.

After graduation Stormey always dreamed of being a chiropractor and was accepted in to Life University College in Marietta,Georgia. However, realising his ability to help people would be less effective Stormey chose the world as classroom to implement his true calling, music.

A year later Stormey would be introduced to General Steele of the Legendary Hip-Hop duo Smif-N-Wessun. Under his tuteledge Stormey learned the importance of music and it's power. Soon after Stormey was called upon to represent Hip-Hop's most influential family tree The Outlawz created by the meritorious Tupac Amaru Shakur.

Following a worldwide tour that introduced Stormey to countries such as Germany, Austria, Amsterdam, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Russia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Slovenia, Switzerland, & the middle east he would yet again be faced with death. Over the course of the next 5 years Stormey would lose 4 of his brothers to street violence, drugs and gang life and he would reflect once again on the problems plaguing the world community.

In 2011 an Angel delivered Stormey from his hardship and an provided an opportunity to change his life. With very little money and only a bag of clothes he left for the beautiful land of Australia which he credits for opening his eyes to what life should be.
