Biography
Stopping Clocks is an American indie rock band based in South Carolina, created in late 2019. Members include: Jayden A, Zook, Ron, and Ezzie. Known collaborators include Outings and Slowly Light.
Ezzie, the frontman, has stated Red Vox, Radiohead, Joy Division, and My Bloody Valentine as major influences.
As of November 2022, Stopping Clocks has released 5 albums as a whole band. 2022 saw the release of 2 albums in the "Presents" series in which members worked on side projects that were released under the stopping clocks name. Ezzie has also released 2 solo albums in 2022 under the Stopping Clocks "Presents" name, the most recent activity being Ezzie's album Remi. Remi was a concept album originally conceived to be released in tandem with a website, not unlike Kanye West's "Stem Player." Remi was partially scrapped due to the code for the website being deleted along with copyright issues involving Dido's "Thank You." The album was later given a limited release on YouTube and Bandcamp. Now, Ezzie is working on his most ambitious solo endeavor to date, slated to release Q3 or Q4 2023. A title has not been announced.
