Biography

STEVE PARDO is a saxophone player, born in Chicago, IL, residing in Miami, FL, and moving to Champaign, IL. Although he considers himself a jazz musician, Steve cannot help but keep his interests broad. Through his friendships and happenings while attending the UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI (receiving both his Bachelor's in Jazz Performance and Master's in Jazz Arranging/Composition) he has developed a personal style and watermark that creeps into whatever he gets his hands into.

Steve has been involved in the Miami scene for a number of years now, performing with original jazz and folk/rock groups (Amy Pardo Quartet, Tazer Room, Stefanie Smith Band, Raffa and Rainer Band, Jesse Jackson, etc.) in many venues (Carvival Center, Arturo Sandoval's Jazz Club, Churchill's Pub, Luna Star Cafe, etc.). He has been featured on a number of independently released albums now available and soon to be released.

His original "rock" project, Steve Pardo with (sister-in-law singer) Lindley Cameron, began as the core concept of Steve's graduate thesis at the University of Miami. Lindley was flown into Miami for a rigorous week of songwriting and final vocal takes in early January 2008. In the following months, Steve arranged, recorded, and mixed the songs that make up the completed EP "FAIRYTALE THANKYOU".
