Steve Hammond (born 1943; died 1994) was an English singer, guitarist and songwriter, perhaps best known as a member of the folk-rock band Fat Mattress.

Hammond broke into the recording world with two solo singles for Pye Records under his own name: 'The World Is Wrapped Around My Neck' b/w 'It'a Alright' (November 1966), followed in early 1967 by 'I Think We're Alone Now' b/w 'Just Call My Name' (indeed, 'I Think We're Alone Now' is the Tommy James & The Shondells cover that later was a huge hit for Tiffany).

After his modest start as a solo artist, Hammond joined the Johnny Almond Music Machine in 1969 and, later that same year, Noel Redding's Fat Mattress.
