Biography
Seminal proponents of the prolific Psychedelic Shit Rock scene on the Isle of Lewis, Static Crap were formed with the intentions of creating music unimagined by their predecessors. Their distinct sound and incomparable virtuosity meant they gained international fame almost overnight, particularly with the success of their breakthrough hit Journey Through The Moor. Unfortunately, internal conflict between band members and a disagreements towards the direction taken with later releases meant an untimely schism sometime in mid-2007. However their influence is widespread and still heard today in the sound of local and more prominent groups such as The Crude Oil Crew, Manor Park Elite and The Kaiser Chiefs.
