Sovijus was initially funded by Ramūnas Peršonis in 1994 in Utena, Lithuania. Later the project was joined by jazz performers Andrius Radavičius (guitar), Arūnas Periokas (drums) and Mindaugas Suchockas (flute, vocals). The variety of the musicians and their background offers a possibility to experiment with the sound. Their live performances are always accompanied with videos, which become an equally important instrument.
