Small Scale Collisions are a Glasgow based collaboration who make haunting, impressionistic music that is subtle yet steeped in nascent ambiguities. Re-incarnations of identifiable musical compostion in the form of the guitar or piano are melded with warm digital synthesis to produce a trail of slow shifting discarded melodies underpinned by a sense of reverb soaked grandeur… Playing live, this visceral form of composition is complimented by carefully crafted visual accompaniment designed to mimic the contours of the sounds, taking the focus away from the performer and onto the piece itself…
