Sloper is the new band of two esteemed rock drummers from Europe's Low Countries: Cesar Zuiderwijk (of Holland's Golden Earring) and Mario Goossens (of Belgium's Triggerfinger). They had been fans of each other (and each other's bands) for quite some time.
They recruited the British guitarist and singer Peter Shoulder (of Winterville, The Union and Silverthorne) and Belgian session guitarist Fabio Canini - and started a musical demolition company of sorts: the name Sloper means 'Demolisher' in Dutch and Flemish. Their first singles came and a début EP (the eponymous Sloper EP) came out in 2020, followed by their début full-length, Pulverise, in August of 2021.
The group has a heavy, classic rock sound, propelled forward by double drums and Shoulder's classic rock voice. Expect powerful riffs, heavy drums and most importantly: decibels.
