Formed out of the 80s U.K. punk outfit the Sect, Skimmer take more of a playful approach with their simple, four chord, Ramones influenced punk-pop. On top of abrasive dual guitars and occasional harmonies, Skimmer released a series of EPs on Crackle Records – this discography includes Better Than Being Alone (1994), Happy (1995), All I Know Is Wrong (1996), and Uncool (1996) – before they put out their first full-length, Vexed, two years later. During that same year, Compitoenail came out for the purpose of compiling all their out of print material, singles, and compilation tracks.
