Biography

SISTEMAS INESTABLES is an instrumental trio from Santiago, Chile. Their music is characterised by being progressive with complex structures, along with layers of noise and ambient textures. Clear melodies and defined sections emerge from this sonic landscape, creating an evolution in the musical journey and narrating through different environments.

Javier, Santiago, and José Tomás operate (at the edge of their capabilities) a hybrid set that contrasts the use of traditional jazz and rock instruments with an electronic ensemble of keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines, and analog effects, giving them a unique and vibrant sound. All these elements synchronise with an abstract visual proposal to create a minimalist yet powerful live experience. In S/I, there are no images or representations; it is a concrete and elemental journey.

Since their debut in April 2017, SISTEMAS INESTABLES has toured internationally, performing in various venues and festivals in countries such as the United States, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Belgium, Spain, and Chile. In September 2018, they released their debut album "O," followed by a remix and live album recorded at the Belgian post-rock festival Dunk! Festival in 2019. In March 2024, they had the opportunity to record at the studios of the prestigious KEXP radio in Seattle, a milestone that undoubtedly consolidated and positioned them among the most relevant alternative projects in contemporary music. Currently, S/I is releasing a series of EPs, a trilogy that will form their next full-length album set to be released in the coming months. Their music has been co-published by LeRockPsicophonique in Chile, Chancho Discos in Argentina, EM Records in Colombia, Anti-Rudo Records in Peru, and by Dunk!Records in Belgium and Europe.
