Simon Jensen was born in Copenhagen in 1973 and started playing the flute at the age of ten. He played classical music through childhood and switched to rock when he was about twenty. In Denmark he played hard rock with a band for three years and he also played on the streets a lot. In 1996, Simon moved to Sweden and joined the progressive rock band Grovjobb (the Swedish word for hard work). He was the flutist and saxophonist of this band for five years.
