Simon K. Jensen was born in Copenhagen in 1973. From 1993 to 1996, he played with the band Patricia Painting. In 1996, he moved to Sweden and joined the progressive rock band Grovjobb, where he was the flutist and saxophonist for five years. Simon Jensen Band was founded in 2004 with Simon (flute), Peter Nilsson (bass), Per Fenger-Krog (piano, keyboards), and Oskar Bergenheim (drums, percussion).
