Multi-instrumentalists and songwriters Laurens Kil (vocals, bass), Vincent Kil (drums, vocals), Pim Lohmeijer (guitar, vocals), and Wout Kil (guitar, vocals) joined forces in 2009 to form Simius. Inspired by illustrious predecessors from '90s grunge and metal scenes (Soundgarden, Metallica), '70s classic rock (Led Zeppelin), and contemporary progressive rock (Tool), Simius brings you a mixture of heart-touching melodies and mind-blowing guitar riffs, that clearly transcends traditional rock subgenres.
In the past years Simius has gathered a loyal fan base with dozens of smashing live performances at local venues and festivals in the southwest of the Netherlands. With the release of their self-produced debut album Overture "Essence" they are now ready to conquer audiences worldwide.
