Silver Spring formed in summer 2008 when four friends began jamming together in a lockup in Battersea, South London. The band played their first gig at a friend's birthday bash in November 08 under the alias 'Chord Fortina'. Early songs Occupational Hazards and OOMPAH!! were firm crowd favourites, and after this first success the band organised their pub debut, the charity 'Post-Christmas Blues Breaker' at the Oxford in Kentish Town – this time as 'Skylelon'.
