Biography
Silva:Code was formed in 2004 from the ashes of Bullit, retaining both the bassist (Face French) and the drummer (Mike Whiles). Wanting to extricate themselves completely from their previous straight rock sound, they called upon guitarist and childhood friend, Si Lewis whose more adventurous playing style allowed for a much fuller, equal sound which frequently passes between genres. Ignoring musical convention if it stands in the way of a better song, from the beginning Silva:Code has aimed to intricately craft music with character rather than unanimous appeal However, nearly one and a half years passed while the band searched for a singer which could compliment the sound and diversity which had long been the foundation of the band's ethos. It was not until november 2006 that singer Adam 'Bordy' Ward was welcomed into the lineup and the band was finally completed. Undeniably talented and not afraid to experiment, they never fail to impress. With their innovative and full bodied blend of funk, rock and soulful vocals, not to mention echoes of the Chili Peppers and the passion of Incubus, Silva:Code ooze style.
Influence include: Incubus, The Mars Volta, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bjork.
Members: Adam 'Bordy' Ward, Simon Lewis, Mike Whiles, Andrew French.
